An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join Onnen Ward at the Rehabilitation Unit, Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
Onnen ward is a new and purpose built ward in supporting patients who are living with dementia and have finished the acute phase of their hospital journey, and require ongoing discharge planning.
The Ward has a strong MDT focus and full support from other specialist such as the Best Interest assessors who are based within the department.
The successful applicant must have excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to deliver the highest standards of care in a demanding environment.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has experience of dementia care and is keen to assist in developing the service for the future. This is a demanding role that requires commitment and a positive approach towards change. You will have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
This is an exciting opportunity to support Dementia patients who have complex needs during their stay in hospital. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate care and compassion in providing support and care for patients with complex needs.
