An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 5 nurse to work within the 12 bedded Critical Care Unit in Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board operates three Hospital sites with a total of 33 Critical Care beds, delivering care for all unscheduled care and a broad range of surgical specialities. We are seeking nurses who ideally have a minimum of 12 months experience in an acute area.
Candidates must be enthusiastic, committed and willing to develop in this very rewarding nursing speciality. We offer a supernumerary training period and a detailed preceptorship program alongside the National Competency Framework for Adult Critical Care Nurses.
The Critical Care Unit aims to deliver safe, high quality care and ensures a positive patient experience. As part of our team, you will represent the Trust in delivering nursing care in line with BCUHB Values and treat all staff/colleagues, patients, families, and visitors with respect and dignity.
Main duties of the job
Working under the direction of the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will provide and maintain effective clinical assessment to ensure that patient care is planned and evaluated. Our nurses are highly valued and we will only recruit employees who share our passion to strive for excellence and improvements to nursing care. We want our staff to be an advocate for patients and their families.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
