Main duties of the job

You'll serve as the primary liaison for the BSW Local Maternity System concerning psychological wellbeing, acting as a vital link between our services and the wider network.   Working collaboratively with existing maternity and trust bereavement services to provide comprehensive support to women and birthing people dealing with grief related to pregnancy loss.

To lead and act as a key resource for our maternity services, leveraging your expert knowledge in psychological support to offer clinical advice, support, and training to staff, mothers, babies, and the multi-disciplinary team.  You will manage line responsibilities and participate in the duty manager on-call rota, ensuring seamless operation and support across all levels of care.

  • 5 years post registration experience
  • BSc in midwifery or relevant experience
  • Evidence of working with vulnerable women
  • in date mandatory safeguarding training
Desirable criteria
  • qualification or relevant experience of working with women with a mental health condition
  • qualifiacation or relevant experience of women with women with complex safeguarding needs
  • qualification or experience of multi agency working
