Main duties of the job

Specific to Endoscopy

 Endoscopy patient/client group: mainly patients requiring specialised endoscopy day care. Nursing input required for a variety of procedures e.g. colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, gastroscopy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

Following a period of induction/orientation and through competency based training, including fine technical skills, the post holder will work within the Endoscopy department.

Following on from this the post holder will be expected to gain further knowledge and skills through competency based training, including fine technical skills and scrub skills if required in ERCP.

Following completion of competency programme you will be expected to take on the Coordinator role managing and coordinating the shift.
