We are looking for a Macmillan Primary Cancer Care Nurse Facilitator.

The role is a great opportunity to join up care between the voluntary sector, primary, community care and secondary care to ensure patients and those important to them receive high quality and experience of care.

Education, Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
  • • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • • First level degree in related subject or equivalent experience in specialist area
  • • Evidence of continued professional development
  • • Recognised teaching, assessing and/or supervising qualification
  • • MSc in relevant area or equivalent experience in specialist area
Desirable criteria
  • • Post-registration qualification in cancer care or relevant subject
  • • Practice or community qualification/experience
  • • Research qualification
  • • Health coaching skills
  • • Advanced Communication
  • • Psychological Level 2 Skills
  • • Health couching qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Significant post-registration experience
  • • Experience of working with people with long term conditions
  • • Experience of teaching
  • • Leadership and management experience
  • • Experience of multi-professional working
  • • Experience of audit and research
Desirable criteria
  • • Experience in cancer care
  • • Experience in Community or practice nursing
