An Exciting opportunity has arisen to join Ward 6A at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

Ward 6A is a 16 Bedded  General Medical/Endocrinology ward

this is a newly created ward and is an Exciting opportunity to join an new team, and take on a new challenge. Flexibility and willingness to embrace new ways of working dependent on service needs is an essential part of the role.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent leadership skills that are required to ensure safe care is delivered in these challenging times

Assurance checks - Audits Working clinically caring for cohort of patients Supporting Band 7 - team Appraisals, Monitoring EST, device training, e -  roster, performance management,  providing leadership on the ward.

Experience

  • Recent experience working within Acute Medicine
  • Awareness of the Must-Dos
Desirable criteria
  • Recent experience in undertaking staff appraisals

Training

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of own post basic education to meet the requirements of the service and nurse registration
Desirable criteria
  • Leadership development programme

Special Knowledge/Expertise

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of Acute Medicine
