Working within our nurse led Pre-Operative Assessment Service (POAS) we will enable you to develop valuable clinical skills to include; collating histories, assessments, clinical decision making, recording ECG’s and phlebotomy. There are also opportunities to undertake link nurse roles and participate in service development projects and away days.

You might you may already be experienced in preoperative assessment or have previous surgical or acute experience; however, you will receive a supernumerary period and be supported by in-house training and a competency document.

With your passion for quality care and previous preoperative assessment and/or surgical experience, you will enjoy the chance to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality preoperative care, now and in the future. In return for your dedication, determination and enthusiasm, we will assist you with your own personal career development.
