Job overview

Newcastle Treatment & Recovery (NTaR) currently has a fixed term,  band 6 vacancy for an experienced mental health nurse to work full time in a service offering support to those experiencing substance misuse difficulties. The post sits within the Newcastle Treatment and Recovery Rough Sleepers Drug and Alcohol Team (RSDAT) based within the  Plummer Court service in Newcastle, however the team's office is at Cherry Tree View.

We are looking to recruit a caring and compassionate Community Practitioner to work within our award winning RSDAT to support some of our most vulnerable members of society into recovery focussed treatment

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the Assessment and Management of caseload of adult service users who have substantial and complex needs compounded by their homeless status or their high risk of eviction. This incudes a significant amount of out reach work and working into local services and hostels.

Working for our organisation

We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future. In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.

NTaR is a partnership between CNTW, Humankind and Changing Lives. We are an integrated team comprising nurses, social workers, recovery co coordinators and Consultant Psychiatrists delivering high quality, evidenced based care via structured interventions. CNTW was CQC rated outstanding on last inspection.
