Job overview

The Acute Frailty Unit is a 12-14 bedded unit within the Care of the Elderly directorate. You will be working within the multi disciplinary team to provide standards of care to our complex needs patients. 

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and be confident in dealing with members of the public.

You will be delivering hands on care together with the registered nurse.

The role will entail working day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Assisting patients with Activities of daily living
  • Support Nursing and Medical Staff
  • If necessary, escort patients as needed
  • Maintain a safe environment
  • Report any unsafe practices promptly to the Ward Manager/ Senior Nurse.
