An opportunity have arisen for a dedicated and committed Midwife to join the Maternity team working in Antenatal Clinic. We are looking for a Midwife who wishes to gain experience working as a deputy alongside the Antenatal Clinic Manager. We are seeking a self motivated, quick thinking and well organised individual who can support the ward manager. You will encouraged to develop your leadership skills modelled through the Trust in house development programmes.
You will work collaboratively with the other deputies to ensure the operational requirements of antenatal clinic are met.
The role will include working cross site at Royal Stoke and County to ensure a variety of experience is gained.
We are looking for midwives who already have a PIN number and are passionate about delivering high quality, safe care to women.
Main duties of the job
The midwife will participate in high quality care for women and their families, also providing mentorship and professional support to enable students and maternity support workers to do the same. As an antenatal midwife you will have the opportunity to gain experience and maintain your skills within antenatal care .
The midwife works autonomously within Trust guidelines and sphere of professional practice with reference to departmental manager as appropriate.
The midwife will work within their sphere of practice in accordance with NMC codes of practice and professional guidelines.
