Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Band 8a

Job overview

An advanced nurse practitioner working within the medical receiving unit at county hospital will be part of a close nit team seeing medical patients either under same day emergency care or as part of the medical review team. We have 4 ANPs working alongside our medical colleagues to provide a high standard of medical care.

Main duties of the job

ANPs in MRU can work autonomously or alongside the medical take team. They will see, treat and discharge patients within their own scope of practice. IRMER regulations for ordering imagery and radiological skill in interpreting results are a must.

Working for our organisation

Based across two sites, Royal Stoke in Stoke-on-Trent and County Hospital in Stafford, we are proud to serve around three million people and we're highly regarded for our facilities, teaching and research. We are the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales.
