Job overview

The Role of the Urology Nursing Assistant with administrative responsibilities is essential to the organisation and function of the urology nurse led ambulatory unit.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

·         Organise all aspects of clerical duties including reception duties, maintenance of computerised and manual record systems, booking appointments, filing and ordering and storage of supplies.

·         Co-ordinator for weekly clinics at both sites

·         Demonstrate excellent customer care skills.

·         Attend relevant study sessions for clerical support.

·         Organise the delivery and retrieval of specimens if appropriate, items & equipment to and from the clinical area including various clinic bases

·         Maintain a clean, safe, hazard free environment.

·         Utilise and update all TRUST patient record systems

·         Deputise for the EDT

  • Knowledge of Trust IT Systems
  • Familiar with Urology ASI / Nurse led clinics
  • Urological background knowledge

  • Able to work Flexible hours
  • Demonstrate excellent customer care skills.
  • Computer Literate
