Permanent Community Nursing Associate Vacancy

Our ABC PCN Community Nursing Team based at Bradwell hospital is looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic  Registered Nursing Associate. This post would be suitable for a newly qualified candidate.

The successful applicant will have a commitment to providing care in patients’ own homes, working holistically and be able to work on their own, as well as, within a team.

Core responsibilities include following established treatment plans to deliver patient care and supporting the reassessment of patients needs within scope of practice. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate competence in a wealth of clinical skills such as medication administration, wound care and bowel and bladder care.

You will need to be NMC registered and you will be required to work within the NMC Code of Practice and Professional guidelines.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nursing Associate, you will be responsible for delivering high quality clinical care undertaking a full range of routine care and treatments for patients in our care as alongside the Registered Nurses within the Community Nursing Team.

Clinical aspects of the role include:

  • Treating patients with healthcare needs including continence and catheter care, wound care, compression bandaging, medication administration and venepuncture under the indirect supervision of Registered Nurses and caseload holder.
  • Monitor the condition and health needs of people within your care on a continual basis in partnership with patients/service users, families and carers and other health professionals.
  • Perform and record clinical observations including blood pressure, temperature, respirations and pulse, acting within Trust standards to respond to abnormal results, escalating as necessary.
  • Work within your scope of competence to reassess recognised needs; where necessary to refer to others for further assessment within the boundaries of confidentiality.

The successful candidate will receive support into the role through induction, training and beyond.
