Trosolwg o'r swydd
Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust OPAT service is a non-in-patient parenteral antibiotic service, currently run from the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. The service provides specialist care to facilitate admission avoidance and early supported discharge of medically stable patients who remain in hospital.
The Band 6 will provide a pivotal role in the department facilitating nurse delivered clinics and supporting junior staff in the delivery of patient care.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated qualified nurse who is driven by service development, would like to work in a department that is looking to expand and would like to be part of change.
If you have good time management skills, have the skills to teach others, are methodical in your practice and have the patient at the centre of the care you deliver then this could be the job for you. You will need to have at least 2 years’ experience of working in an acute setting, have intravenous antibiotics experience, have experience in managing patient flow either in an outpatient or inpatient setting and be flexible in your working hours.
(The service is looking to expand so the need to be flexible with the potential to work in the community, in the patients home or across site is essential)
Experience in vascular access devices would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be given.
Please Note: Only those applicants that meet the essential criteria will be shortlisted.
