Job overview
Permanent | Full time (part-time hours considered)
We are looking for an enthusiastic Nursing Associate to join our new Long Term Ventilation (LTV) Ward. The LTV Ward is a 4-bedded unit providing specialised care for children and young people who require long-term ventilation and are medically fit for discharge. Our focus is on helping these children transition smoothly from hospital to home.
As a Nursing Associate, you will help assess, plan, and deliver clinical care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will work with clinicians, respiratory colleagues, and home ventilation nurses to ensure our young patients and their families receive the best possible care.
About You: You will be a Nursing Associate with current NMC registration, and a passion for supporting children, young people, and their families in both hospital and community settings. You will have excellent teamwork skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care. You will need access to a car and a driving licence.
If you are looking for a rewarding role in a supportive environment, we would love to hear from you!

-
Deliver some community-based care, including home visits and support in school settings.
-
Contribute to service development and quality assurance processes.
-
Support new starters and students during their placements (after completing required training).
