Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time innovative, motivated and experienced registered Mental Health Practitioner to provide Clinical leadership to the Complex Emotional Needs Pathway in Rotherham Mental Health Services.  As part of the Community Mental Health Transformation we are committed to developing trauma informed, evidence-based support for working age and older adults with complex emotional needs. You will work across Adult and Older People’s services to develop and embed the Complex Emotional Needs pathway in our teams.  A significant part of this role will involve the roll out of Structured Clinical Management in the teams and providing consultation, advice and clinical supervision to those working into the pathway.  You will also be involved in engagement with local stakeholders and 3rd sector organisations.

We are committed to supporting the post holder to access relevant training and accreditation in evidence-based treatments for CEN as appropriate to their role.  There will also be the opportunity to receive clinical supervision and access a support network with other clinical leads across the trust.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership across our teams, and ensuring that the care provided is safe, effective and supports service users and carers.  Experience of working with service users with complex emotional needs and their carers is essential.  You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to working within this pathway, promoting a positive culture around this work and engaging service users and their families.

You will be involved in the development of Structured Clinical Management in our teams and the roll out of this.  You will be involved in providing clinical supervision, consultation and advice, including around risk.  You will be involved in audit, quality improvement and service evaluation as appropriate.

You should be able to demonstrate effective, evidence-based care management and risk assessment.  You should also demonstrate strong leadership skills that enable you to provide containment, stability and a passion for this work that allows team members to come alongside you, at times of uncertainty and change.
