Operating Department Practitioner - Mexborough Theatres

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are looking for enthusiastic, quality focused and patient centred Operating Department Practitioners to join our team at Mexborough Theatres.
You will be expected to work alongside and communicate with all members of the multidisciplinary team and actively contribute to assessing, planning and implementing and evaluating care. You will work as a member of our theatre teams on circulating scrub and/or anaesthetic duties and opportunities will be provided to gain experience and further training in both these areas as your registration supports. You will be committed to providing a high standard of patient care, demonstrating motivation, enthusiasm and consideration of financial importance.

As a Theatre Practitioner you will work alongside the Anaesthetist or Surgeon, to provide first class, patient centred anaesthetic or surgical care. You will at all times work in accordance with the Codes of Professional Conduct and ensure at all times your practices reach the required professional standard.

Qualifications

- ODP with HCPC or Nurse registered with NMC
- Computer literate
- Student pending registration
- Up to date knowledge of professional issues

- Evidence of attendance at relevant mandatory study days
- Evidence of specialised qualifications, competencies in relation to theatre practice
Experience

- Previous experience in acute hospital environment
- Previous experience during training in theatres

- Demonstrate evidence of research based practice
- Demonstrate evidence of departmental management under supervision
