Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Active 1st level registration with NMC
- Relevant accredited post registration qualification at level 3
- Qualification in Teaching, assessing and Mentoring
Desirable criteria
- Willingness to work towards Masters level academic study
- Qualification in frailty/care of the older person

Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Appropriate post registration experience in nursing and frailty
- Appropriate proven leadership and management experience
- Proven commitment and experience, evidence in teaching
- Experience as preceptor / mentor
- Experience in undertaking a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA)
- Experience in assessment and management of older patients with frailty and complex needs
Desirable criteria
- Experience of undertaking research or audit projects
- Evidence of commitment to research based practice or evidence of project work undertaken
