Job overview

Are you an experienced Administrator with an interest in Maternity services, with a desire to support a multidisciplinary team?  Are you also ready to provide support to people who access our maternity services?  If the answer is yes, we’d love you to be a part of our team.

The service that we are developing will be 7 days a week between 08:00 and 21:00. There are a mixture of shifts available for this role, including weekends, evenings,  long and short shifts. part time or full time hours available 

Main duties of the job

You will provide a welcoming first point of contact, answering all telephone enquiries, taking and relaying messages in a polite and helpful manner, ensuring that information is recorded accurately, and confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Part of the role will involve maintaining the antenatal clinic office including restocking, ordering stationary, and reporting to maintenance as required.

Also providing and receiving information verbally, in writing, or electronically. Dealing with incoming correspondence, using initiative as appropriate to expedite issues.

You will receive training to ensure you can retrieve, record and update information using the Trust’s computer systems.

You will be able to prioritise and organise workload accordingly, booking support to assist families to use the service e.g booking interpreters.

You will also assist the referrals team in escalation and be involved in the induction and training of newly appointed staff. As the service develops you will support the screening team with the booking of scans, ensuring that a safe efficient service is maintained.
