A bank opportunity is available to support the Learning Disability and Autism at the Royal United Hospital. Fixed term may also be available.

The role is to support the continued development of care to meet the needs of patients who have a learning disability and/or autistic people
This involves communication with and working in collaboration with a range of clinicians and services working to support where appropriate. It also involves close communication and involvement with professionals, family, carers and others during the patients’ admission.

Qualifications & Training

- NMC/HCPC Registration
- Demonstrates evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
- UK hospital experience

- Acute UK NHS hospital experience
- Post-registration qualification/post-graduate diploma & training preferably in Learning Disability and Autism.
Knowledge & Experience
Meini prawf hanfodol
- Good understanding of NMC/HCPC code of practice
- Experience of caring for patients with learning disabilities and or autistic people
Meini prawf dymunol
- Experience of dealing with behaviours that challenge
- In-depth knowledge of the Mental Capacity Amended Act (2019) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
