Job overview
Bridgnorth Hospital are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to work on the Agnes Campbell Ward.
The ward is busy and you will need to be able to work under pressure at times. You will work within the established nursing team on Agnes Campbell Ward alongside registered nurses, healthcare assistants and therapy staff providing care to patients on the ward.

Main duties of the job
A Healthcare Assistant is a core member of the team delivering personal care to patients and supporting registered practitioners to deliver high quality, compassionate care.
To provide holistic and person-centred care and support community patients in an acute setting.
To carry out a range of non-clinical healthcare tasks, under the direct supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner. Provide compassionate care, to agreed quality standards and in accordance with Trust values.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE Level C+ in English and Maths or Level 2 functional skills in English and Maths or willingness to work towards this.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health Care or willingness to work towards gaining this qualification.
- Care Certificate or willingness to work towards this.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Awareness of accountability issues e.g., confidentiality.
- Awareness of the role of the Healthcare Assistant.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Experience of providing care in a healthcare or social setting
- Good interpersonal skills (written and oral).
- Knowledge of situations and circumstances that can impact on patient safety and demonstrate understanding of how the healthcare assistant contributes to maintaining patient safety.
