THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 8 MONTHS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

We are looking for a highly motivated, competent staff member with a relevant level of experience and education to join the Powys Teaching Health Board Neurodevelopmental Team . The team has a vacancy for a Non-Medical Prescriber to support the work with ADHD assessments on a Fixed Term basis until 31st March 2025.
Main duties of the job
The team provides assessment and intervention for children and young people with / or suspected of having a Neurodevelopmental condition (Autism Spectrum Disorder / Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).
The successful candidate will need the appropriate training and qualifications in prescribing and have experience in working with neurodevelopmental conditions, and with children.
The candidate will be supported by the team and supervision and support will be in place as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and / or Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Recognised health qualification relevant to specialty including professional registration e.g. Nursing & Midwifery Council
- Master’s level qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience of working at this level
- Non-Medical Prescriber qualification or working towards
Desirable criteria
- Teaching / training qualification
- Training in evidence based psychological approaches e.g. CBT
Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantial experience of working in relevant service area
- Ability to assess and implement a range of evidenced based therapeutic interventions
Desirable criteria
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of providing clinical supervision

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
