Job overview

Wallingford Community Hospital is looking for enthusiastic Registered Nurse Associates who are committed to the core values of Patient Care.

Main duties of the job

As a Nurse Associate, you will undertake complex assessments of patients as an autonomous practitioner with the support of senior nursing staff. You will utilise your clinical reasoning skills, knowledge of evidence based practice and professional expertise. 

You will evaluate patient progress and alter treatment programmes as and when appropriate. You must be able to function effectively across a variety of environments (e.g. ward, unit, patients’ homes etc.) involving changing and demanding condition.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Each patient receives an individualised and holistic MDT assessment, diagnostics and treatment and a management plan. The MDT comprises of doctors, nurses, nurse associates, paramedics, health care assistants, physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
  • Completion of Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
