Do you have a core qualification in Mental health Nursing or Occupational Therapy, and have a passion for Mental Health?

Would you like join an experienced and highly motivated South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) 111 triage team?

We are seeking Senior Mental Health Practitioners to join our innovating team and provide mental health support to those in their moments of crisis.

We'd really like to find an enthusiastic, caring individual with experience in working with either Children or Adults in a mental health setting.

Working both autonomously and as part of a team whilst supervising others, you will be triaging callers, offering self-care advise and referring onto other services to ensure that mental health callers are getting seamless help and advise that is right for them. There will also be opportunity to receive further training and frequent high-quality supervision.

This post covers is based in Bicester therefore applicants must be able to attend site. we are currently in the process of trialling a hybrid working model which allows clinicians to work remotely after they have become established team members.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) triage works closely with the community teams, charities and other IAPTS services to provide the best possible and most appropriate outcome for callers across both Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

It is under the urgent care pathway provision all are provided by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. The work will involve mental health triage and a brief assessment followed by either intervention to resolve the caller’s needs or onward referral and signposting to other mental health pathways.

In your role you will also provide expert mental health advice to SCAS and TVP colleagues responding to 999 calls in the community, and similarly supporting clinical support staff within the 111 and 999 call-centre.
