We have the perfect role for you as a Deputy Team Manager in the Chiltern Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). This role carries an incentive premium of £3,500 which will be paid in instalments over an 18-month period. Please note that this scheme is not open to existing employees of Oxford Health and is subject to a claw back clause. Further information will be provided.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will contribute to the day-to-day management and operational processes within the team to ensure the safe and effective management of patient care across our service.

The successful applicant will be an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about working with mental health service users. The Chiltern CMHT is split into the West & East team to cover the South Bucks locality and both teams are busy, so the post holder will need the ability to demonstrate flexibility to meet competing demands whilst working under pressure.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team to develop leadership skills, contribute to service development and service improvement. You will need to be highly skilled, hard-working, organised, be able to demonstrate excellent clinical practice, supervisory skills and experience of supporting junior team members. Experience of working in a community mental health setting is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will also be on the Duty Manager rota, which includes some evening and weekends or Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) rota if a qualified AMHP.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Chiltern CMHT provides high quality care and treatment for people with a wide range of mental health issues across the South Buckinghamshire. The multidisciplinary team incorporates RMNs, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychiatrists, Support Workers, Psychologists, Peer Support Workers, Individual Placement Support Employment workers, Pharmacy Technicians, Research Assistants and Mind Information Officers. We also have an excellent administration team.

To work within the CMHT, to undertake all aspects of clinical duties as a senior practitioner within the team. To act as care coordinator/Key worker, working with patients with particularly complex needs. To deputies for the CMHT manager and /or community lead when required.  Oxford Health is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
