This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse or Allied Health Professional.  Are you looking for a rewarding and challenging role? Do you have a positive outlook, professional attitude and are you passionate about delivering patient focused individualised care to people living with cancer? If the answer is yes, then this may be the right job for you.

As a  Macmillan Information and Support Facilitator you will be joining our award winning team, to provide personalised information and support to anyone affected by cancer .  You will  enable people to navigate the health and social care system and provide personalised support and signposting to enhance holistic wellbeing.  The role will cover all sites within the Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust- including Kings Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital and a community site in Newark. 

The post holder will work closely with the Trust multidisciplinary teams, to ensure outstanding patient care.  Externally working closely with Macmillan, other charities, organisations and support groups.

This is a Macmillan funded post for 2 years to trial a new Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre.  The successful postholder will be at risk of redeployment to other roles, if the funding is discontinued. 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

As a Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Facilitator you will have direct contact with people affected by cancer, offering emotional, practical and financial information and support. You will work flexibly, being visible and accessible to those who access the Service.

You will play a key role in the day to day running of the Service, providing information and support. You will provide this support face to face, over the phone, via email, letter and text.  Your role will include organisation and delivery of wellbeing events to groups of individuals affected by cancer.

You will contribute to the development of flagship information and support services and deputise in the absence of the service lead.
