Job overview
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Urogynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Working closely with our clinical leads, the primary responsibility of the Urogynaecology Nurse is to provide best practice care to a specific group of patients, ensuring a positive patient experience.
The ideal candidate will have previous gynaecology experience and a commitment to women's health, be enthusiastic, highly motivated and willing to support the provision of the highest quality patient care.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the aptitude to work at a senior level and will be expected to provide regular direct clinical care, though training and career progression opportunities will be provided and supported.
A Urogynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist acts as the principal point of contact between all members of the multidisciplinary team. In addition, you will work independently when making clinical assessments of patients' conditions and performing physical examinations, and procedures and techniques in accordance with established policies and procedures. .
For the right candidate we will consider job share or secondment and also some flexibility in working patterns around service need.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NMC Level One Registered Nurse.
- BSc in Nursing
- ENB 998 or equivalent teaching course
- Evidence of post-basic specialist education
- Educated to Masters level (or working towards) or equivalent demonstrable experience and learning within a specialist area
- Non-medical prescribing (or willingness to undertake)

- Motivational interviewing / counselling course / training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience post registration at band 6 with experience in working with patients in specialist area.
