CRF Senior Research Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic research nurse to join the clinical research facility. This research nurse will provide a clinical trial service to NUH with a focus on the Clinical Research Facility (CRF), Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP’s) and Genetically Modified Organism (GMO’s) trial delivery. The post holder will support the development of the new structure, operating procedures, finances and facilities as part of an ongoing plan to embed clinical research facilities for NUH.
This post will involve assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical studies. This will involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of patients in studies and the collection and documentation of accurate data. Collaboration is required with the clinical studies team and the wider multi-disciplinary team in the management of your own caseload of patients in clinical studies. The role involves acquiring an in-depth knowledge of trial protocols and their application in practice, research methodology and the requirements of local, national and international research regulations.
The successful candidate must have extensive experience and training in clinical trials across different clinical settings.

The post holder will work independently as well as support colleagues, dependent upon the needs of the clinical trials service. Full support and training will be provided to the post holder.The post holder will be expected to support clinical trials across all divisions
This post will involve shift patterns, including internal rotation onto night duty to ensure 24 hour cover, including bank holidays (as per service needs and to cover overnight research visits).
The post holder is required to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Essential skills include, ability to administer IV drugs, Undertake ECG's, perform venepuncture and cannulation
