We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our team . We are a 15 bedded Oncology ward with dedicated rooms for the Teenage and Young Adult oncology and haematology patients.
You must be able to work a variety of day and night shifts, including weekends.
As part of the interview process, if you are successful at shortlisting, you will be expected to complete the Numeracy and Literacy Assessment prior to your interview. Results of this will be issued on the day.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE Maths and English (Grades A-C or Levels 4-9) or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent qualification/experience
Communication and relationship
Essential criteria
- Demonstrates clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and communicating with young adults.
Planning and Organisation
Essential criteria
- Demonstrates effective time management skills

- Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust's "We are here for you" behavioural standards
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting

- Previous experience of working with end of life care
- Previous experience of working with teenagers and young adults

- Capable of using equipment within a work environment under supervision
