An opportunity has arisen within the Women's Unit at  Nottingham University Hospital Trust for a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker with a special interest in Colposcopy Data Audit who is enthusiastic , motivated and caring.

The Women's unit is based on the City Campus of Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust. We are a small unit caring predominantly for patients undergoing  outpatient colposcopy and hysteroscopy procedures. As a Clinical support worker with special  interest  with colposcopy data  you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to help support and assist patients undergoing outpatient gynaecological procedures and assisting Clinical Nurse specialists and consultants within the Colposcopy team with the maintenance of the units databases and developing a working knowledge of software packages within the service, preparation of data prior to each colposcopy clinic to ensure real time data.

The post is for 30 hours per week.

The unit has a caring and supportive team of nurses and support staff  dedicated to the delivery of effective patient care . Good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly  as part of are essential.

If you have experience in women's health and Colposcopy with a flexible approach to working in a small team and experience in data input this may be an ideal role for you

  • carry out a number of designated tasks of which will involve direct patient care in support of and under supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Work as an effective member of the Multi disciplinary team.
  • Assisting Clinicians within the colposcopy team with the maintenance of the units databases
  • Preparation of data prior to each Colposcopy clinic to ensure real time data collection.
  • Assisting with the collation of statistical data for audit purposes. Maintaining a high standard of data quality within the colposcopy service.

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of Numeracy and Literacy
  • NVQ 2/3 in health and social care
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience in Colposcopy

  • Previous experience in dealing with patients in an outpatient care setting
