Maternity Triage Manager

Band 7

Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic leader, passionate about care for women on maternity triage.

The post holder will have expert clinical knowledge, being able to lead, coach and mentor other midwives in advancing the midwifery profession. You will show leadership both professionally and managerially, acting as an expert role model to staff within the unit demonstrating credible midwifery clinical skills in the care of women.

The post holder will have responsibility for triage, ensuring that Trust Policies and Procedures are adhered to and that the department is equipped to deliver high standards of evidence based care.

As the Triage Manager you will have overall accountability for the quality of care delivered within the ward, and have line management responsibilities for the team including the responsibility for supporting professional development. You will ensure all members of your team have a personal development plan, and will work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to develop women centred services.

You will maintain clinical competencies, ensuring practice is evidence based.
