Due to department expansion, we have two full time positions' for a Clinical Support worker working with the Hospital24 team supporting in and out of hours with venepuncture, cannulation and ECG recordings.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic clinical support workers (CSW). You will have excellent organisation and communication skills.

You will be working within the Hospital24 team supporting with Cannulation, Phlebotomy and ECG recording. In addition, you will be supporting the medical and nursing teams in responding to acutely unwell patients.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder works as part of the Hospital24 Team providing Clinical Support to Medical and Nursing staff 27/7.

The Support Worker will be responsible for providing venepuncture, cannulation and ECG recording  across both campuses. The post holder will be required to prioritise and manage their own workload within a dynamic busy environment.

The Department has operational responsibility for Hospital24 across the organisation. As such the post holder will be required to rotate between both main campuses that make up Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Insight visits are highly recommended

Essential criteria
  • Started packages in cannulation, phlebotomy, venepucture and ECG recording

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good Level of Secondary Education. An ability to pass literacy and numeracy testing
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 2/3 in health care setting

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working within the hospital setting preferably in a health care assistant role or equivalent.
  • Ability to prioritse and manage workloads
