Ward F22 

This is an exciting opportunity  for a Registered Nurse (with current UK NMC pin, or a student nurse soon to qualify) to join a 21 bedded ward. We are a Regional Intestinal Failure Centre receiving referrals from within NUH and surroundings areas. You will have the opportunity to learn exciting new skills such as complex wound management and TPN administration. 

We have a caring and supportive team of nurses dedicated to the continuing delivery of safe and excellent care which is supported by our excellent patient feedback. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, highly motivated and willing to expand their knowledge and practical skills.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

As a registered nurse on F22 you will be carrying out basic nursing tasks, medication administration, central line care, stoma and wound management, enteral feeding and TPN administration. 

We believe in support and development of all our staff and have a dedicated clinical educator. If you are successful in your recruitment, we will offer an individualised supernumerary period with an ongoing personal development plan. You will go on a local, surgical and corporate induction programme with opportunities to go on a pain management course, spinal cord injury course, tissue viability and wound management course, supervisor training, link role training and the opportunity to join the shared governance council.

Newly qualified nurses will join our established preceptorship programme with a six day acute care skills foundation course and resilience-focused clinical supervision.

It is essential that you currently hold a UK NMC pin, or are about to qualify, are able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to support the development of the service.

The successful applicant needs to have excellent organisational and time management skills with an aptitude for problem solving. You must have excellent clinical knowledge and skills. You will need to be a good communicator, be self-motivated, provide high standards of clinical skills and have the ability to influence and drive innovative practice within a face growing and exciting speciality setting.
