Main duties of the job
Our integrated teams of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals deliver care to people who present with significant physical health care needs in various settings including clinic based, community inpatient, hospices to care in the patient’s own home, including care homes, enabling them to be independent, self-caring and live their optimum lives, reducing hospital admissions.
Services range from community nursing, including specialist practitioners, to public health and health promotion such as school nursing and health visiting, with many specialist community services designed to support care pathways such as Physiotherapy, OT, Speech and Language, Dietetics and Podiatry.
Supporting the efficient running of these services are administrative and managerial roles. All roles, at all levels, are vital in transforming community health services, ensuring high quality care is provided both now and into the future based around the needs of our patients - together we all make a difference.

Are you a Qualified District nurse with a Specialist Practitioner Qualification? (SPQDN)
Arnold Community nursing team are currently seeking a District nurse to join our community nursing team across the Hucknall and Arnold districts. This role is a caseload holder responsible for a designated patient population within Arnold
We would like to hear from Specialist Practitioner Qualified District nurses who are compassionate about delivery of safe and effective care place value in community based care and who feel they can bring something different to our well established, high performing team.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse; Part One and holds current and valid registration with the NMC
- NMC recordable qualification in District Nursing inclusive of V100/V150 prescribing qualification at degree level or equivalent
- Further specialist knowledge/post registration experience in specific service area or other formal training
- SPQ degree in District Nursing
Desirable criteria
- Holds a mentorship qualification and has ability to provide mentorship to others
- V300 non medical prescriber
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrates satisfactory clinical expertise for the banding.
- Specialist and area specific experience

- The ability to deal with and resolve conflict
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and understanding of current legislation and Trust policy, values and objectives.
- Awareness of national and local issues impacting on nursing care
- Ability to seek out current best practice based on research and evidence based enquiry.
- Knowledge of the nursing 6 c’s
- Understanding of clinical risk assessments and risk management
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to manage a caseload and lead and manage the nursing team within an integrated and interagency context
- Good holistic and person centred assessment skills.
- Ability to plan, perform and evaluate complex patient’s nursing care including self-care initiatives.
- Ability to promote health and wellbeing both at individual and population levels
- Good written/oral and IT communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and diplomatically handle conflict issues
- Ability to appraise staff performance and direct the development of others.
- Clinical supervision skills
Desirable criteria
- A high level of emotional intelligence
- Ability to demonstrate RCA skills in investigating reported incidents
