An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse, to support the Emergency Assessment Unit team.

The aim of EAU is to see medical and frailty patients who have a high probability of discharge that day, following diagnosis, a robust treatment plan and/or social support.

EAU is a 29 bedded unit that is fast-paced, which sees a high turnaround of patients, providing comprehensive plans of care to prevent patients being admitted into the hospital.

The EAU is a 24/7 unit, working to a shift pattern basis. The unit is supported by a Multidisciplinary team, which consists of Allied Health Professionals, doctors and nurses.

This is a very exciting time, and as a senior member of the team you will be in a position to influence and affect emergency care, as we continue to develop our innovative ways of working.

This is a rewarding but challenging role, that requires you to organise and prioritise patient care to ensure maximum flow through the department and provide support, and advice, to junior members of the team and/or students.

As a leadership position, you will be expected to support the Band 7 to provide managerial support inclusive of HR issues, Workforce, and change management.

In return you will be working with a dynamic nursing team with strong peer support, and access to educational opportunities to further your career.
