Job overview

The 'South Norfolk Older Persons Community Team' aims to support positive mental wellbeing throughout our South Norfolk and Breckland communities.

We are recruiting a Band 4 Nursing Associate to join our community team on a permanent basis. We are a forward thinking and flexible team and we are looking to do things differently.

Whilst there are some roles and responsibilities that can only be carried out by a Registered Nurse, we are looking to develop the role of a Nursing Associate to enable participation in a wider range of opportunities.  You will support the Registered Nurses with the day to day activities and provide support to service users throughout their journey.

Main duties of the job

Working alongside our Clinical Support Workers and Registered Nurses, you will work a combination of shifts including unsociable hours, some weekends and bank holidays.

You will be responsible for assessments, risk management, care planning, and co-ordination of care delivery.

Working within a well-resourced team, supported with regular supervision and opportunities to work in partnership with health and social care in the wider multi-disciplinary service, we want to develop the role of an Assistant Practitioner or Nursing Associate to enable participation in a wider range of opportunities including change management projects such as quality improvement.

Working for our organisation

Here at NSFT we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.

Why work for us? We have challenges as a Trust, but we have ambitious aspirations, are pushing ahead with exciting transformation work and we need dedicated individuals to support us on our journey. We have strong, established professional networks coupled with an exceptional leadership team who will ensure you are truly cared for and cared about.

Why Norfolk and Suffolk? The people here are warm and welcoming, you’ll never be far from the beautiful coastline or Broads National Park. We’re an hour and a half away from London and have an international airport in Norwich too. Our villages, towns and cities are packed full of history, independent cafes, shops and theatres. We have excellent shopping, eating out, top ranking schooling and affordable house prices too.
