Junior Sister/Charge Nurse - Elm Ward

Band 6

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior staff nurse to develop their leadership and management skills on Elm Ward and become part of the leadership team as a band 6.  Elm is a 33 bedded surgical ward providing care for all surgical specialties but also provides care for many medical patients.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, thrives to grow professionally and personally, and loves to work as part of a team. We also need an adaptable and experienced individual who can work well under pressure.

Elm Ward has a relatively new and junior team and we are looking for an individual who will help the leadership team to support and grow the staff to help develop the ward.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

Responsibilities include ensuring the team deliver effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership.

We are looking for an experienced nurse who can demonstrate their ability to support the team and the ward manager, promote effective high quality patient care whilst managing a team and embrace daily challenges utilising appropriate clinical decision making.

You should have excellent organisational and clinical skills and be able to communicate at all levels. 

You will ensure that legislation, policies and procedures are correctly applied within the team and action any issues promptly.
