If you are looking for a way to express your caring personality and support those suffering from mental health issues, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our Great Yarmouth and Waveney Acute Services Team as a Clinical Support Worker in Great Yarmouth.

The service is recovery focused on Treatment, Therapy and Support to help our service users return to well-being and independence.

You will be working with the team to support service users, by providing personal support in a person-centred and holistic way.

You will take part  in delivering care to the needs of our service users, in accordance with their care plans. You will take part in ongoing risk assessments, recognising and responding to any changes, ensuring that the care and safety of the service user remains the priority. 

We have a genuine commitment to facilitate a vast spectrum of local training in addition to the standard trust mandatory training and development. You should expect to access all relevant physical health and patient support training to enhance your existing skills. 

You will then be expected to complete all local training that is provided by NSFT and in line with your job description. There can also be the opportunity to learn new skills such as phlebotomy and ECG training.

Your journey with NSFT will starts with 1 week Induction Training followed by 2 weeks of clinical theory and practical skill building excises/ training.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Our primary focus is on collaborative working, placing great emphasis on patient centred care.

You must be available to commit and work on a shift pattern, which includes days, nights, and weekends:

  • 7.00 am - 19.30 pm
  • 19.00 pm – 7.30 am

**** Unfortunately, we will NOT offer just nights or just weekend shifts.

Acute ward is a 18 bed ward for assessment and treatment. We support adults who have a severe and lasting mental health issue. Often the patients also have complex presentations and a variety of physical health concerns. As a ward, we provide holistic patient centred care, specific to each individual.
