We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join our Early Pregnancy assessment Unit. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional who is already an experienced nurse with an interest in working within this area.
Main duties of the job
You will assist in providing high quality specialist nursing care to all patients and their families during their treatment/assessments and beyond. You will ensure that patients are supported throughout their journey as a point of contact and supporting them to move forward.
Working for our organisation
You will act as a resource for other healthcare professionals for early pregnancy unit along with your colleagues.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will hold well developed interpersonal and communication skills and also possess good facilitation and IT skills.
We are looking for an experienced nurse with Surgical/Gynae experience (although training will be given). You will be joining a team who will support you in your learning and experience and in return you will need to show commitment to self-direct your own studies to benefit the patients the team and yourself.
Secondment will be considered with permission from your line manager.

Essential criteria
- Recent acute experience within the NHS
Education and qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse, educated to degree level or who can demonstrate the relevant experience within a gynaecology setting
- Preparation for Mentorship or equivalent
Skills, abilities and competencies
Essential criteria
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- General IT skills
- Excellent teaching skills including experience of teaching qualified nursing staff
- Knowledge of National Standards and Government intiatives in Gynaecology
- Accurate presentation and attention to detail
Desirable criteria
- Expanded skills
- Proven educational skills in relevant area
