Job overview

The main duties of the posts is to care for individuals with learning disabilities and complex health care needs in the community.  

An opportunity has arisen for a HCSW to work within the Learning Disability Team as part of the Care at Home Team within Complex Care. This role is predominately working Mon – Fri within office working hours 8am to 4pm,  8:30am to 16:30pm, 9am to 5pm to assist clients and individuals within the community in a variety of environments. This role would include rotation shifts to meet the needs of the service and ensure skill competency is compliant, these shifts could be 7am to 7.30pm or 7pm to 7.30pm.

Main duties of the job

There is developing, exciting work within the Care at Home Team within ABUHB. The service is driven towards succession planning and there are a variety of training and development opportunities available for HCSW’s within this unique service. The learning disability nursing team are at an exciting time, developing, using innovative evidence based practice to give high quality care to people with learning disabilities within the community maximising their quality of life.

We are currently looking for Learning disability HCSWS who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable individuals with multiple holistic care needs to maintain fulfilling lives, be treated with dignity and respect and remain in their own home and live within the community. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team and have the ability to work effectively with individuals with a learning disability, carers and other team members.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
