Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to join the District Nursing Service. The applicant must be a Registered Nurse, be confident and competent in a wide range of clinical skills and demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. There is a requirement for a flexible approach to work and an ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
There are multiple demands in this exciting role due to the challenging nature of providing care for patients outside of the hospital environment. The post-holder will however find themselves well supported by a very friendly and enthusiastic team of staff.
The post is based with the Overnight District Nursing Team who operate from Ysbyty Cwm Cynon and Glanrhyd Hospital providing care to patients across the footprint of Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB. Staff will primarily be based from Ysbyty Cwm Cynon but will be required to operate from Glanrhyd hospital according to service need.

- Active UK NMC Registration
- Experience in a wide range of clinical skills
- Must possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage members of the public. Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
Desirable criteria
- Competent and confident in the delivery of a wide range of clinical skills including; palliative care, chronic disease managment, wound management, catheter care.
- Local knowledge of statutory and voluntary services
- Basic IT skills
