Job overview
ENT outpatient clinics is looking for dynamic and motivated health care workers to join our Team. If you are looking for an opportunity to learn and develop your skills then ENT is for you. Initiative and motivation are a must.
To assist Clinicians treating patients in an outpatient setting. Also undertake some clerical and domestic duties to ensure a safe environment.
Main duties of the job
- To assist Clinicians treating patients in an outpatient setting. Prioritising own workload.
- Escort and chaperone patients as appropriate.
- Communicate with patients/carers taking into consideration the needs of the individual.
- Undertake some clerical duties such as filing.
- Undertake ordering of supplies, within agreed stock levels, ensuring stored correctly.
- Ensure availability, cleanliness and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist in the safe handling of patients valuables and property.
- Adhere to Wirral Hospital objectives, policies, protocols and guidelines.
You will be required to work days, Monday-Friday.

- Previous experience and training of manual handling patients using appropriate equipment
- Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of promoting patient independence
- Able to provide support and reassurance to patients.
Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
Essential criteria
- Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2) in Health & Social Care OR • A good standard of general education to GCSE level and the agreement to undertake the relevant L2 qualification on appointment (Please discuss the apprenticeship opportunities available to aid the completion of the qualification with the recruiting manager)
- Completion of the Care Certificate theory and practice standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust.
Desirable criteria
- Experience working in a clinical environment
- Experience working in the NHS
