Our friendly, dynamic and talented team requires a senior nurse with experience in emergency nursing to join them in an exciting opportunity to become part of our nursing team as a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse. 

This is a rewarding but demanding role that requires a dedicated nurse to lead the team who deliver emergency care to patients and their families in a diverse population of the Wirral.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a  nurse who is looking to lead in an exciting dynamic busy Emergency Department . 

We want a enthusiastic highly motivated nurse that can demonstrate a kind, caring and compassionate attitude with a desire to provide effective and efficient emergency care.

We also have a dedicated professional development nurse to guide, educate and support programme and work towards national frameworks for emergency nursing.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

Essential criteria
  • 1st level registered nurse
  • Evidence of recent post registration study in a speciality related to A&E e.g. ALS, ATLS, APLS
  • Minimum of three years post-registration experience of which two years should be at Primary Nurse or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • All practitioners with diploma level primary qualification must be working towards higher award in specialist practice (Degree)

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge base of emergency nursing practice
  • Competent in all key skills of A&E nursing practice
