You will work as part of an integrated 0-19 team and will be required to support the full delivery of the Healthy Child Programme. You will also be responsible for supporting the universal partnership and partnership plus families.
We work closely with our commissioners and partners to deliver the best possible services for the children, young people and families.

You should possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills together with an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. An in-depth knowledge of the current health agenda relating to children’s services is essential.

You will be joining a proactive skill mixed team working together to deliver the Healthy Child Programme As part of the 0-19 Service which includes Health Visiting and School nursing, you will be working closely with other local statutory, health and voluntary agencies to provide accessible, person centred packages of care in response to individual and local need.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced and newly qualified nurses however some previous experience of working within a community environment would be beneficial. We have an established preceptorship programme in place and you will be well supported by your manager and colleagues and valued in your role. We offer opportunities for personal and professional development and you will receive regular appraisal, clinical and safeguarding supervision.

Experience and knowledge

- Understanding of role within the Public Health Team
