Job overview

The UTC/WIC's across Liverpool have opportunities for band 3 Health Care Assistants to work as part of the team. 

The vacancies are across the 4 sites - Garston UTC, Old Swan UTC, City WIC and Smithdown WIC.  The service is open 8am-8pm every day including bank holidays. 

You will work as part of a team ensuring patients receive high quality, safe, effective care.

Main duties of the job

 

The successful candidates will be based within one of the sites but there is an expectation they may be asked to support in the other sites for periods of time. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the clinicians in triage, ensuring stock is available and ordered in a timely manner, carrying out venepuncture, and basic wound care. They will support patients who access the service. 

One of the vacancies is for Smithdown Walk-in Centre which is a paediatric only site.

Main responsibilities are to support in triage, basic wound care, venepuncture, carry out observations, stock control and ordering.
