Are you a Nursing Associate with a passion for delivering outstanding care as part of the team within the Urgent Treatment Centres in Liverpool.  The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience, a wide range of clinical skills and will be confident to work without direct supervision once competencies are achieved.  

You will be based in one of the urgent treatment centres in Liverpool (Old Swan or Garston),  but there will be an expectation to move sites on occasions to support the wider service .

The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the  team  to assess, plan,  and deliver clinical care in line with service and patient need. 

The Nursing Associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan and across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. 

Nursing Associates are accountable professionals who are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a Nursing Associate and will work to a nationally recognised Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of conduct. They must meet the NMC standards of proficiency and recognise and work within the limits of their competency.

Qualifications

  • Foundation Degree in Nursing Associate practice
  • Current NMC Registration

Experience

  • Previous experience of working within a healthcare setting
  • Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate
  • Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information
  • Breadth of person centred nursing knowledge
  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
  • Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code
  • Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
  • Understand requirements for NMC professional Revalidation
  • Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
