We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Dermatopharmacology Department, as a Research Nurse at Salford Care Organisation.
You will be delivering clinical trials and academic research in Dermatology. Therefore evidence of experience within this area is not essential but desirable.
Some of your key responsibilities will likely include:
- Screening and recruiting eligible participants
- Educating participants about the study and obtaining informed consent
- Collecting and recording study data accurately, in accordance with GCP
- Administering interventions and treatments as per the study protocol
- Monitoring participants safety and reporting adverse events
- Ensuring that study documentation is maintained and stored securely
To be successful in this role, you need to have strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, be organised and detail orientated.
It is desirable to have prior experience in clinical research setting, but it is not essential.

Main duties of the job
- Develop an expertise in research skills, including set up and delivery of research studies, whether these are academic or commercial.
- Good communication skills, willing to liaise with many professionals for study set up, including members of the multi-disciplinary team and Sponsor representatives.
- Ensure GCP adherence and compliance at all times and be able to follow complex protocols and SOP's (Trust or Sponsor)
- Be meticulous in record keeping, records must be complete have attention to detail and be ready to be audited at any time.
- Good planning and organisational skills is crucial. The post holder must be able to have excellent team working skills and be able to plan their own workload too,
- The Post holder will be expected to deliver the highest standard of patient care. Monitoring patients for safety, adverse events in accordance with the research protocol and NMC code of conduct.
