Theatre Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and energetic theatre support workers to join the team at Rochdale Infirmary. Previous theatre experience would be an advantage, although in house training can be provided to the right candidates.
The successful applicants will be supported and guided by the existing highly experienced theatre team.
- Experience in a health care setting
- Interest or experience in working in a perioperative environment
- Good communication skills,
- Good standard of education, basic maths and English
- Willing to undertake further training

Be a member of a theatre team, providing support and assistance to professionally qualified staff and other team members. Responsibilities will include participating in patient care, equipment care, infection control, ancillary and clerical duties.

Qualifications

- Care Certificate either upon appointment or within 12 weeks of commencement
- Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G)

- NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare or a Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship
Knowledge, Training & Experience

- Experience of working with members of the public or a desire to work in the Health Service
- Understanding of routine work procedures gained through a short induction period and on the job training

- Experience of working within a health or social care environment
- Experience of working within a team
