Job overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced midwives to join our Maternal Medicine team working cross-site between  Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary.     

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic midwife who is passionate about providing Antenatal care and the  Immunisation and related Public Health programmes in line with national standards and service specifications  to women and their families on the Maternal Medicine Pathway. 

You will need to be naturally responsive to the changing demands on your priorities and workloads.

The role will be cross-site to cover both The Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary. You will need to be willing to travel flexibly to both sites and to outside events/meetings as and when necessary. 

Main duties of the job

The provision of the  full sphere of antenatal care, education and immunisation programme to women/birthing people within an antenatal setting on the Maternal Medicine Pathway.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
