Job summary
To support the Radiology management team in facilitating diagnostic performance management, service development, improvement to patient pathways in collaboration with the Modality leads and multidisciplinary team and stakeholders both in and out of hospital.
To support in the service management team in the development and implementation of comprehensive capacity plans that ensure the delivery of both key access targets and savings attributed to the services within the portfolio.
There will be an element of line management of admin and clerical staff with the expectation that the post holder will work with these reports to assist and support in their continual personal development.
To be the first point of contact for all diagnostic performance and capacity queries. Provide advice and guidance as necessary. Attend meetings, filter calls, correspondence and enquiries in an appropriate professional manner, using judgement and discretion where necessary. Only refer complex matters to relevant team leads.
Main duties of the job
• Assist on service development projects in the division. Monitor progress with the team in terms of milestones and key measures of performance.
• Develop standards and measures of performance. In collaboration with the Radiology managers, modality leads and other directorate staff, audit performance, give feedback and plan service improvements.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including A&E, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services.
We are looking to recruit friendly, professional and motivated individuals with the ability to work as part of a team in our Radiology Ultrasound department, specifically the maternity subdivision. In our maternity ultrasound department, based at Hillingdon hospital, we have 5 busy ultrasound scan rooms, where we complete a variety of different obstetric scans. There might be times when you have to rotate to our Radiology ultrasound dept at both Hillingdon and mount Vernon hospitals.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level with postgraduate management qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of continuing personal and professional development. i.e. PRINCE 2 or other recognised project management qualification
Experience

- 2+ NHS experience in total
- Knowledge and use of PAS or similar system
- General understanding of NHS procedures and systems with regard to information and data quality issues
- Rota co-ordination
